| I joined Variety NSW in August as Administration & Executive Officer. I have recently returned from living overseas where I worked at a University College in Belfast. I have over thirteen year’s administration experience in a wide range of fields.
This is my first time working for a not for profit organisation and I am very excited to be working for such a worthwhile cause.

Stuart Telfer: Bash Events Manager
|
|
I have been the Motoring Events Manager for Variety NSW for four years now, having previously been a Bash entrant for 14 years prior to joining full time in January 2004.
My main pastime has always been centred around motorsport and in particular, speedway, where I have acted as a spectator, crash crew member, official, competitor (but not a good one!), journalist (pretty poor here too!!) before becoming track manager for 10 years at the Parramatta City Raceway, or as it was more famously known, “The Speedway By The Freeway!”
I became involved with Variety after seeing a Bash documentary on TV one year and decided that was for me. My first Bash was the Bourke to Bernie Bash in 1990 and I’ve been doing them ever since. For me to take on the role of the event’s manager was a career high and still is today. The Bash takes us to many unusual areas of Australia, the rough, the tough and the beautiful parts of this country are endless and I look forward to taking these fantastic people called Bashers to these places for many more years to come.

A country girl at heart, Brooke is looking forward to travelling to remote areas around Australia, meeting everyone involved with Variety and participating in the B to B Bash.
Brooke particularly looks forward to visiting schools and institutions to see the delight on children’s faces and to see what impact Variety has on their lives.

Victor Sheil: Newcastle Manager
|
I started with Variety in June 2001 in the role of Regional Co-ordinator for the Hunter New England area. I work with a group of very enthusiastic volunteers to run our successful fundraising events in the region. The main events are, The Newcastle Variety Bash, The Newcastle Variety Splash, The Newcastle Variety Ball and the Gold Heart Awards. These events as well as some other smaller events bring the regions fund raising to exceed $500,000 annually.
As well as managing the fund raising for the region I have the very satisfying job of working closely with our volunteer appeals committee by assisting in the administration of funds to our regions special needs children.
